I like the magnetic knife holders that IKEA makes, but this knife rack called Puukko from Uusi is just so sophisticated looking.

What a great idea. I’ve wanted to hang one of those IKEA magnetic knife racks, but it would look terrible in my kitchen. Now, I’m off to Home Depot to grab a small piece of wood, some stain, and varnish to build a thin shell around the ikea rack.

magnetic knife holders are no good, they magnetize your knifes and when you sharpen them the small steel particles you remove stick on the knife giving poorly sharped edges and irregular bevels

simply demagnetize your knife before sharpening.

you could do that OR use a better solution for holding your knives..
