Serrano Apartments by A-cero

A-cero has just completed the interior design for a set of eight new apartments in an old four-story building in the center of Madrid. On each level, there are two houses, each with a different layout. However, each apartment commonly has at least four bedrooms with bathrooms, a kitchen, living area, dining room, and utility area. The largest of the apartments has a servant’s quarter.

Large windows and skylights offer a lot of light in the apartments while the white walls help increase the feeling of lightness and cleanliness. A-cero used a mixture of flooring materials throughout: travertine marble, wood, and dark gray porcelain (in the kitchens and bathrooms). They also designed most of the furniture in their signature monochromatic palette of black, white, and gray — the only pops of color are present in the small accessories. All of the furnishings feature clean, modern lines and the bedroom furniture feels organic with its curvaceous lines.
