Small Size, Big Sound With the Libratone ZIPP and ZIPP MINI Copenhagen Edition

There are some wireless speakers better only heard and never seen. Libratone’s stable of wireless audio in that category fortunately do not fall under this category. Their latest ZIPP Copenhagen Edition – in both ZIPP and ZIPP MINI sizes – are given another layer of premium aluminum and soft Italian wool portable speakers to set themselves from the competition (and standard ZIPP models).

The new Libratone ZIPP Copenhagen Edition distinguishes itself from its standard counterparts with an aluminum base, leather handle, and a soft Italian wool cover, in both ZIPP and ZIPP MINI editions.

Revealed at the 2016 CES last week, Libratone reps at the show told us the new speakers – upgrades of the previously released and ZIPP and ZIPP MINI – were designed specifically to enhance interior decor, with the complementary natural materials of aluminum and wool natural additions to a device meant to be appreciated whether on or off. The combination of a warm and soft material top bordering against cool and hard base gives these new editions a whole new personality from the original white base models.

Each of the capsule shaped speakers are designed to be used individually or connected for multi-room expansion using what Libratone calls, SoundSpace Link, allowing users to connect up to six speakers via WiFi for versatile placement. The cylindrical housing allows for 360° sound via WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, speakerphone mode, Spotify and Apple Music compatibility out of the box, and 8-10 hours’ battery life when untethered from a power source.

Both ZIPP and ZIPP MINI Copenhagen Editions will be available in four colors, with two additional add-on accessory options that can be switched out at fashionable whims: Salty Grey, Pepper Black, Raspberry Red and Steel Blue, with Almond Brown or Icy Blue as add-ons. Expect to see these Copenhagen Editions available mid-February for $399 via Libratone.com.
