Nasia Burnet is a textile and interior designer from Amsterdam that designed Flower Explosion. Inspired by mass production, the unique fabric is made of 100% wool and is completely modular. Each cut flower shape is designed to connect with another identical shape, creating a repeating pattern that’s adaptable to your needs.
Note Design Studio worked with Afroart’s vibrant striped Mira Maya fabric to create two different designs: a screen called Plisado Horizon, and a storage unit in two different sizes called Plisado Arriba.
Yay! I love this collaboration. Danish company Fritz Hansen is working with Maharam and Kvadrat for the launch of Point by Paul Smith. British Designer Paul Smith is known for his vibrant textiles and his reimagining of traditional Scottish Fair Isle knitting is evident in his new Point collection.
German designer and artisan Gunta Stölzl‘s Bauhaus textile drawings are works of art. From wall hangings to rugs, I feel like I hit the motherload of inspiration. Prepare to waste some time on this site.
Industrial upholstery is a project from Gilli Kuchik with Gil Sheffi and Ran Amitai, who together make up Tel Aviv-based Bakery Studio, a design collective founded in September 2009. This project explores new ways of upholstering furniture using the upholstery polyurethane foam as the fabric.
I am a huge fan of Balanced Design, but I was especially pleased with the new pieces that they showed at ICFF. The new peacock design is certainly my favorite, but they have new bird’s feet and leaf patterns as well. Also, last year they introduced rugs, which I think are simply adorable.

An unraveling sweater is not a very good thing, but this unraveling calendar designed by Patrick Frey is genius! As the year progresses, you can pull on a stitch that unwinds, allowing the calendar’s months to diminish as time passes.
Tres Tintas has introduced a new collection of wallpaper and fabrics called Sophie, which includes these two awesome geometric prints, Meridian and Blatt.
