OOS Collection is a minimalist design series by Bangkok-based firm Studio248. The collection consists of a coffee table, side table, and ceiling lamp. The most distinct characteristics of this collection is the simplicity of the joint between the metal plate and the wood. The metal plate is being held through a slit in the wood that allows the plate to be locked in place, perpendicular to the floor without any screws.
Pli Folding Chair by Florian Hauswirth
Pli Folding Chair is a minimal design created by Switzerland-based designer Florian Hauswirth. He started his career as a model builder for Vitra in Switzerland. He was able to construct models for some of the most renowned designers in the industry, such as Jasper Morrison, Philippe Stark, and Antonio Citterio to name a few.
Cuppo by Ideaco
Cuppo is a minimal wall storage design created by Osaka-based company Ideaco. Fortunately, I had the pleasure of recently meeting the founder of the company, Ichiro Haba. He founded the company on the basis of providing smart, innovative designs that are both simple and functional. Most of the products designed by Ideaco are common household items that have been re-invented with improved aesthetic and utility.
Picnic Sofa by Industrial Facility
Picnic Sofa is a minimal design created by England-based designers Industrial Facility. The project was designed for Herman Miller, and will be available in a two or three-seat variation. The sofa is an addition to Herman Miller's Collection series of furniture that was first introduced by George Nelson of the 1950s.
