Jory Brigham and Aaron Gomez are Craft SLO, a custom furniture company located in San Luis Obispo, CA. Their signature atomic, one-of-a-kind style will certainly delight atomic-era buffs to modern art lovers. Not only do they make killer credenzas, but they do everything from entertainment centers to kitchen islands.
When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of having a bunk bed. If I were a little girl now, I would dream of having this piece of multi-use furniture designed by h2o Architects all to myself (even though it’s designed to be shared by two children). The entire piece consists of multiple spaces that allow each child to have their own personal space. It’s also a fun-inducing area that provides fun possibilities for climbing, storing, hiding, and drawing.
In an exhibition including the works of Gamper Martino along with other designers, a series of shelves, cupboards, and chairs were assembled in different ways to confront a variety of contemporary positions on the edge of reality.
The Bucky Table by Demacker Design is a side table with a bucket-shaped foot that can serve as a home for your belongings, magazines or even floral decoration.

Swiss-born, Paris-based artist Mattia Bonetti will be exhibiting his largest US show at Paul Kasmin Gallery in New York beginning this month. Bonetti’s work is a balance between art and design — in his creations there is no definitive line drawn.
This versatile birchwood piece by designer Jung Jae Yup is designed to work throughout different stages of life (since it could be a seat for a toddler or a grown child) to eliminate the need to give the piece of furniture away when a child outgrows it. It also works as a storage solution with small shelves that can be stacked to fit your space needs. A stainless steel frame is used to ensure strength.

Hidden Art is giving five independent UK designers the opportunity to launch new products and prototypes during the Milan Furniture Fair. Their stand at SaloneSatellite will feature this beautiful Patternity Phase Bureau, which I am currently wishing was also going to be on display at ICFF. This is just the rendering, but isn’t it ravishing? Yes, I said ravishing.
People who are irked when one drawer is left slightly open while the other drawers are closed will absolutely hate this oak cabinet. Oooms Studio designed this piece to have at least one drawer that will always stay slightly open while the other drawers are closed. In addition, the way to open a drawer is to hit or kick the one next to it. The way this cabinet works can be quite annoying, which is why it’s somewhat entertaining.
These separate furniture pieces by Dutch designer Mieke Miejer can be put together like a puzzle to become one large piece with some kind of identity crisis. The result: a cabinet with the engraved image of a chair.
Since we covered cb2, I figured we could also cover what’s new from West Elm. These two affordable modern favorites have certainly helped my modest wallet and empty rooms over the years! There are definitely a few standouts in their lineup.
