Dutch designer Piet Boon has designed a new series of Concrete Wallpaper in cooperation with NLXL that will launch at this year’s ICFF in New York. NLXL previously collaborated with Piet Hein Eek on the scrapwood wallpaper collection that we love so much.
Murals Your Way has added re-positionable wallpaper to their lineup with some fun graphic patterns including geometrics, chevrons and stripes. This collection is removable and reusable. Looks to be a possible option for renters!
The students from the Department of Interior Architecture at Rhode Island School of Design have created a collection entitled Prototyping the Domestic Environment currently being exhibited in Milan at Salone del Mobile 2012. The five works are interactive and multi-functional with the focus on “the formal adaptation of utilitarian furniture pieces into domestic spatial components.” Each object is not only a functioning interior piece, but they also act as adjustable devices for play, i.e., “tactile or optical sensory exploration or kinetic transformation.” The designs are well thought out, as well as being aesthetically pleasing with their geometric attributes.

Vintage by Hemingway Design is a new collection from Graham & Brown created by renowned retro designers, Wayne and Gerardine Hemingway. The collection includes four designs, each taking its inspiration from a different decade. Deco Diamond from the glamor of the 1930s, Grid from the modern style of the 1950s, Loopy Lines from the swinging 1960s and Do the Stretch from the space odyssey feel of the 1970s.
