LOCAL Bike by Fuseproject

LOCAL Bike by Fuseproject

This zippy little bike, called the LOCAL, is the latest endeavor to come out of San Francisco-based studio Fuseproject, headed by designer Yves Behar. The result of the Oregon Manifest Constructor Design Challenge, a one-of-a-kind design/build competition to imagine a new generation of sustainable transportation for city-dwellers. Fuseproject created the LOCAL to address the needs of our daily lives, while bringing back the fun of riding around the neighborhood on a bike (those were the days…). SAYL by Yves Béhar for Herman Miller

Nurturing a growing family can be a bitter business. Without thoughtful collaboration, a dose of sacrifice, and a good deal of respect for one’s surroundings, its guardian may find himself big-boxed in some thankless superstore, companion to a nation’s worth of disposable commodities.

GE Electric Vehicle Charging Station by fuseproject

fuseproject, the communication and design studio founded by Yves Béhar, has designed the Wattstation, an electric vehicle (EV) charging station for GE. The design comes in the wake of the terrible oil spill in the hopes that the consumer-friendly design will encourage the adoption of electric vehicles. Certainly one of the main concerns of those of use considering buying an EV is where do we charge? The Wattstation might just be the answer.
