Munken Cube is a unique object of paper and wood from the German premium interior brand e15 and the Swedish manufacturer of natural paper, Arctic Paper. Munken Cube consists of 2200 sheets of high quality, 120 g Munken paper set on a 60-mm thick solid wood plinth by e15. The dimensions and construction of the Munken Cube result in an impressive, shapeable concept for furniture or the creation of ideas.

The one-sided glueing of the paper enables the deforming and twisting of the MunkenCube. Due to its dimensions, when shifting the paper stack by hand, sculptural forms develop which turn the Munken Cube into a design object in a space. Sit on it or perhaps use it for sketching or drawing.

The idea of the Munken Cube was originated by the Hamburg-based branding and design agency JUNO, which on behalf of its client Arctic Paper set up the cooperation with the premium interior brand e15.

Are you serious? Paper? $1,000 plus int’l shipping for this heavy thing. Ikea/Staples version = $100. Sometimes designers think their poop smells like roses.

The idea of the Munken Cube is stolen!
The idea of this cube is the idea of Joanna Morani! She got 2010 an Award for communication design for that!
JOMORANI art + design owns the patent rights on a twistable and shapeble Paper Cube and sells this Cubes for many years!
Munken Cube = a stolen design idea!

JOANNA!Thats so funny you are indignant that someone “stole” your design-when you stole them from me, and have been for years! You must be delusional!!! You have been winning design awards for my designs, and you have the audacity to post a complaint? Try to do the right thing and stop producing my work as your own-or pay me a royalty for the design, as others do.And stop accepting awards for work you copied.
Your website intones a very zen motive-you should take your cues from it.It is apparently bigger than you.
