The Teen Project P.A.D.

Vanessa De Vargas from Turquoise LA has done it again with an impressive charity project that unites interior designers and companies to help a space in need. Last year, she tackled a homeless shelter for women and children. This year, she worked with seven other designers to revamp a new teen homeless center in just one month! Design projects like this make me all misty.

Together with donations, the designers decorated the Teen Project P.A.D. in Venice Beach, a resource center that helps homeless teens get back into safe homes or transitional housing, ultimately to get them back on their feet. The center provides shelter, food, and now, thanks to the designers, a new kitchen and TV area to feel safe in. If they need to contact loved ones they now have access to computers, too. The new therapy office will offer teens counseling and a new large communal table in the mezzanine area is now available to them to do home work or art projects at the space.

Thanks to the impressive number of designers and companies who generously donated their time and products to this project:
