Transparent Toaster

Transparent Toaster

It’s see-through! At this time, it isn’t fully functional, but they’re working on it at the Inventables Concept Studio. I just think this is an awesome concept, especially since I always burn my toast.

I want one too, but if you read the product overview the designer is very clear in stating that the technology isn’t there yet to get enough heat from glass to toast. For that… 2 STARS!

  6. What a great idea. This is not only beautiful, but pared down and sleek. A great example of “form follows function”. Thanks for the share

  7. Why didn’t anyone think of this before?

  8. realy cooooooooolllll… great!!!!

  9. Is this for real?! If I have one of these, for sure I will not tire looking at the bread’s transformation

  10. This is wonderful. Are these designs available in the market?! I’d die just to get this…the science of toasting, in the raw.

Studio2546 is working on a solar powered model, minus the apple aesthetic. Transition lens technology has helped out enormously. The glass does not become “tinted” but becomes hot, toasting you fresh slice of loaf more evenly than a traditional toaster. You’re welcome world! One more example of technology using ALL of earth’s resources in a holistically sustainable way!

  12. This will make toast “hot” again. Great idea.

  13. This would be great for my everyday toast. I love them when they are starting to get that fair very light brown color. This would be of great use for a guy like me. Hope it comes to Argentina soon.

  15. Want.

Two things though: one slice? Also, how do you reasonably remove the toast?

  16. still managed to burn the toast.

  17. I like the toaster. does it come in a 4 slice model. The kids would just sit and stare waiting for breakfast.

Look online for the MAGIMIX VISION TOASTER by Robot-Coupe

  20. Apparently people can’t read that this is a CONCEPT. It doesn’t exist. You can’t buy it.

Cool idea though. I wonder how they would keep the glass from getting stained (glass and heat don’t mix very well).
