    I was looking at those shirts in your store and thinking…it’s hard for me to reconcile my love for design with the fact that design is 99.99% inaccessible to anyone but the largely white and financially privileged. I mean, I would love to surround myself with things that make it a space that is “me”, you know? Aesthetically speaking. At the same time, if I had the money to afford these things, could I, in good conscience, invest in a gorgeous shelving unit while people go without drinking water, AIDS medication, and basic shelter? What would they think of contemporary Western design? I can’t help but think of stuff like http://www.worldonfire.ca.

    That said, congrats on opening your store - nice mix!
