#waitingfor: A New Type of Seating for Waiting

While we’re waiting, we often reflect, think and dream. Italian architect and designer Maurizio Bernabei created the #waitingfor collection based on observations of people in waiting rooms and spaces.

Looking at how spaces are used and how what’s in the space can make us feel, the collection mixes decontextualized bits to create new furniture. The patchwork approach uses different materials, textures, and colors to help “make it easier to accept human diversity while we wait.”
