Yogabed: Sleep Heaven in a Box

Me? I’m a bad sleeper. I’ve spent years trying to fix my insomnia and overall lack of sleep to no avail. The search to find a good mattress, one that stands the test of time and would offer me nights of cloud-like dreams, well, that search never stops. My interest became piqued when Yogabedâ„¢ landed in my inbox – as it does with every new mattress that crosses my path. First, the branding is simple, sleek, and lovely. Then, take a look at the subtlety textured top of the mattress and its overall minimal design. Brain. Officially. Piqued.

Yogabedâ„¢ at first looks like another luxury foam mattress, but this company is doing it a bit differently. The mattress itself is built with a Yoga Comfort Systemâ„¢, which is made up of layered components that are specifically designed to support the body and reduce pressure points that make you move a lot. Bonus – the system aims to keep things cool and comfortable.

One of the most intriguing features is the removable cover. You simply unzip the top cover, machine wash it, and easily zip it back up with no effort. There’s only one way to do it so you can’t get it wrong! With so many stories of bed bugs and other gross stuff landing in your mattress, being able to wash the cover protecting it is key for germ-phobes like myself.

They also make the buying process super easy – you place your order online for what size you want and it’s shipped for FREE to your door via UPS (anywhere in the continental US) in roughly five days. If you find you don’t like it, you have 101 nights to test it out. If you don’t love it, you get your money back!

It also comes with two free Yogabedâ„¢ pillows (one with a twin) to complete your good night’s sleep.

They also offer a 10-year warranty and have plenty of other goods available, like extra pillows, sheets, etc.

I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. Take a look:

A large box arrived at my door making me wonder how in the hell they got a mattress in there, a queen one at that. It arrives compressed in plastic!

I loaded the compressed roll onto my existing box spring. I popped a hole in the plastic and easily sliced it open with the included tool. It’s pretty amusing watching it expand from a roll into a queen-size mattress. As it expands, you notice two included pillows neatly tucked within the mattress.

And BOOM. A bed is born.

The bed is just as soft as the thick, stretchy knit cover. After roughly a month bonding horizontally with my Yogabedâ„¢, I can officially say, I’m converted. I didn’t think I’d like a foam mattress, but I do and I’M NEVER GOING BACK! I’m tossing my two-year old, (supposedly) top-of-the-line, pillow-top mattress and keeping the Yogabedâ„¢. I’ve never slept better and it’s literally like sleeping on a cloud!
