Unlike the ghost-faced serial killer in this ‘90s slasher film, the Black Boo Mirror by cloudnola has an approachable, non-menacing aesthetic. More of a Casper the friendly ghost than a murderer in costume, if you will. The Boo Mirror’s rounded “ghostly” shape is modern and slim – perfect for storing on your dresser, bathroom counter or vanity – and compact enough to quell fears of someone appearing in it behind you. We’re big fans of the minimal black colorway all year round but there are other vibrant shades to choose from.
Midsommar (2019)
Don’t let Midsommar’s deceptively bright aesthetic fool you – this folk horror flick is undeniably scary and will leave you feeling icky for weeks. Admittedly not the first film to spring (no pun intended) to mind for the Halloween season, don’t let Midsommar’s deceptively bright aesthetic fool you – this folk horror flick is undeniably scary and will leave you feeling icky for weeks. The delicate floral motif in the Peace & Sweetness Puzzle by Ordinary Habitat is reminiscent of the folk art seen throughout the film, and the contrast of the stark black background recalls its sinister plot points.
