Designer Joe Doucet was commissioned by Wallpaper* to create an object for their annual Handmade Exhibit and wanting to go beyond making just an object, he sought to create a ritual. With that in mind, Doucet designed a series of Wine Chillers that were expertly made by Neal Feay Studio in Santa Barbara.
You place a chilled bottle of wine inside the container which prevents the cold from disappearing by convection, conduction, and radiation.
The beautiful textures that are engraved on the exterior in varying depths are inspired by cold fronts and the wind patterns they make as they shift across the globe.
