Vans struck a brilliant partnership with British print designers Eley Kishimoto to launch a bold, graphic collection of Vans apparel, footwear, and accessories. The design duo used two of their archived designs and introduced three new, exclusive prints for the Vans x Eley Kishimoto ready-to-wear Living Art collection that’s for both men and women.
For men, they’re releasing short-sleeve button downs, raglan tees, socks, backpacks, and a reversible bucket hat in Eley Kishmoto’s Flash print.
The women’s collection complements the men’s in Eley Kishimoto’s Magnolia Hysteria print on everything from a dress, tees, totes, a reversible parka, and accessories.
The signature Vans Waffle Sole and Checkerboard pattern were reinterpreted by Eley Kishimoto to create a series of new prints for footwear that are exclusive to Vans.
Vans’ signature Checkerboard print became the energetic Drums print which takes deconstructed checks and tribal motifs and combines them. The Drums print can be found on the Classic Slip-On, the Hanelei Sandal, the Sk8-Hi Slim, and the Aura Snowboard Boot (for women).
Bumpy Road is an original print that abstracts an urban playground and is seen on the Authentic shoe.
The iconic Waffle Sole usually stays on the bottoms but Eley Kishimoto turned it into a 3D reinterpretation called the Whopping Waffle
