out for space Reimagines Rattan in a New Colorful Collection

German design studio out for space explores the age-old material rattan and reimagines it to create the kc collection. The team put the natural material through a patented treatment process that colors it, while also improving the material’s stability. Once it’s processed, the environmentally-friendly material is then called karuun, and it can be used in ways rattan could never before. The collection, kc, which stands for karuun color, is made up of five designs that highlight the material and the new ways it’s being used.
