Pile: A Place to Host Your Friends in Small Spaces

When you live in a small space, you know how hard it is to host more than one or two friends over to hang out or to have dinner. Michal Blutrich sought a way to fix that problem with Pile, a layered object made up of a table, padded squares, pillows, and a lamp that all stack up into a neatly contained tower. When needed, arrange all of the items into a cozy place you and your friends can relax around.

For everyday life, you can keep it stacked in the corner where it looks kind of sculptural with its color gradient and various shaped pieces.

When company comes, customize a seating area based on how many people and what you’ll be doing. Each floor cushion has a hole in it for stacking as well as a place for the table legs to go to keep the table even.

The LED lamp adjusts into three positions thanks to a balancing weight inside it.
