An Angular Pavilion for Outdoor Events in Latvia

Didzis Jaunzems Arhitektūra were tasked with designing an outdoor pavilion within Gauja National Park, near Sigulda, Latvia as part of their Nature Concert Hall. Instead of just designing a functional structure, which they wanted for live events, they created a sculptural piece of angular art.

Under the structure, the atmosphere is perfect for space, light, video, and music and offers a place for a chamber orchestra of 20 people and the Nature Concert Hall’s band. The heightened parts of the design serve as screens for video and light projections for various events.
