Tabu is a chair that focuses on the relationship between man and nature. Originally debuted in 2014 by Eugeni Quitllet for Alias, the newest version of Tabu has just recently launched. Coming in a spectrum of variations, the chair combines different pieces of ash wood that’s produced using a numeric control system. Wood, an organic material, is juxtaposed with a transparent polymer, representing technology. Together, they enliven an ordinary object. The tabu plastic full backrest now comes with a larger backrest, and all the chairs feature wood that is sustainably and responsibly harvested.
