Peca’s Caterina Moretti designed this series of unusual, topographic tables that were inspired by majestic islands. Isla displays a smooth surface, much like the calm of a lake, with an unexpected break where an island rises from the water.
Using contrasting materials, the tabletop is made of bateig blue limestone, which sits atop a black lacquered oak base with brass-tipped legs. Nestled into the surface is the unpolished piece of marble that reflects the island.
You might remember seeing these back in 2014 at our Westedge installation.
