Structural Designs by Jeroen Verdaasdonk

Modern architecture meets old world charm in these pieces designed by Jeroen Verdaasdonk, who started his design studio Javydesign in 2007. With a background in engineering, a passion for design, and an appreciation for beauty, Verdaasdonk created four pieces—The Duchess, The Duke, Centauri, and Cabinet X—which he debuted at last year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, Italy.

The Duchess
Casted by hand with a water-based resin and inspired by folding architecture, this vase resembles a classic baroque dress with a geometric twist with its elegant slip, graceful waist, and collar-like top.

Cabinet X
This versatile piece of furniture can be used like a cabinet, a table, or a bench. It is made with a steel skin that covers a multitude of wooden, predetermined panels for a dynamic and spatial look.
