Last year, we showed you the first lamp in the Vari Series, a tall, interactive lamp made of bronze and walnut that you manually move to turn it on and off. After its success, they decided to expand the series exploring various ways to generate the same kind of physical actions that perform like a switch to turn them on and off. The result is three new pieces – one that works with contact, one with balance, and the last works with relation to weight and position.
The Orma Series is a collection that includes two different shelving units and two room dividers/screens. At the start of the design process, they experimented with the idea of tension and compression using the natural qualities of wood. The nature of the design creates a rhythmic pattern that can easily be expanded by the addition of adding another piece.
