The Colorful Shapes of Kindah Khalidy

I can’t look at one of California-based artist Kindah Khalidy’s paintings without smiling. There’s something about her artwork that instantly makes you feel happy. Maybe it’s the bright colors, or perhaps the child-like shapes, but all together, it’s one whirlwindy wonderland of whimsy. The paintings are abstract but they very clearly contain shapes that exist around us. Every time I look at one of her works, I see something new… from cacti to taxi cabs to clouds and mountains, even UFOs! What do you see?
