Baldessari e Baldessari designed Zigozago, an outdoor chair that looks as if it’s been zigzag stitched together. Designed for Taiwanese brand Lagoon, the chair is polypropylene-molded to seem like it’s made of two pieces, but it’s actually just one piece.
Although the stitching doesn’t hold the chair together, it does fasten the seat cover that slips over the top part of the chair. The cover easily comes off and is available in different fabrics allowing you to customize the look.
The chairs are available in different color combinations that were inspired by the colors found in lagoons all around the world. The shell of the chair was designed after geometry found in nature – veins and ribbing on leaves. The metal structure on the bottom is painted the same color as the shell.
Zigozago debuted during Milan Design Week 2016.
