A Ceramic Watch Designed by Konstantin Grcic

Swiss brand Rado brought in designer Konstantin Grcic to redesign their iconic Ceramica watch series. The new minimalist design, which many may know from its linear shape and use of high tech ceramic, has been given a contemporary update while still holding on to elements of the original timepiece. The German designer is the perfect choice to update the Ceramica as he’s known for his clean, minimalist designs and focus on materials.

The new Ceramica, which is also made from high tech ceramic, still maintains a sleek, minimalist look but with subtlety curved edges that lead to its rectangular face, giving it a bit more of a classic watch shape. The lightweight ceramic is scratch-resistant making it an appealing material for a watch.

Two of the models for men are available in a matte finish, as opposed to the original high gloss, and are limited to just 701 pieces (the 1 being his own personal watch). The dials feature simple graphics in grey and white.
