Martyn Thompson Studio Launches New Collection of Textiles

Martyn Thompson Studio is unveiling a new collection of abstract textiles via a pop-up shop during this year’s London Design Week. Showcasing Thompson’s signature patterns, the fabrics are the result of Thompson’s photographs of the Ionian Sea that are then woven in 100% cotton on a jacquard loom.

Thompson’s venture into textiles has been a natural extension of his successful photographic career where he incorporates his imagery into his new work every day. The photos for this collection reflect the water’s ever-changing tones and movement he captured while observing the sea.

The new collection will be on display at the pop-up installation in the Brompton Design District from September 17th-25th, 2016.
