Latest Work from Shinya Oguchi

Tokyo-based industrial designer Shinya Oguchi has released two new products – the Layer side table and the Picture flower vase – both of which were unveiled at Tokyo Design Week 2016.

Layer is a transforming side table made up of two U-shaded, perforated components that rotate independently of each other. The table can be changed up by rotating either piece to expand its size or reduce it, or flip the table 90 degrees and it’s a layered side table.

Picture is a vase with a built-in picture frame. Seeing how flowers are beautiful from the time they’re just a bud until the end, the upper part turns them into “framed” art. The base is thicker to help keep the vase stable.
