MEJD studio created the TOOL collection of lamps and candleholders using the traditional metal casting method. Working with aero-concrete forms, they use tools, like a drill, to carve out openings for the liquid aluminum to fill. Once it’s hardened, the molds are chiseled away revealing unexpected forms that they turn into various objects.

Each mold is completely unique as they create them intuitively as they work, therefore never knowing what the end product is going to look like.
