MASHstudios Expands LAXseries with New Modern Sofas

A couple of years ago, we highlighted some cool storage pieces that MASHstudios had released in their LAXseries line of furniture and now they’ve expanded brand line to include a range of modern sofas. The Los Angeles-based firm sought inspiration from their west coast locale and designed a collection that includes nine designs: The Wedge, Point Dume, Trestles, Venice, Echo, Wade, Big Sur, PCH, and Palisades.

The collection is designed for use in residential and commercial settings and they range from smaller, apartment sized options to larger, more loft size ones. Bottom line, there’s a sofa in this collection for everyone.

Echo is the cooler counterpart to its Venice cousin below with its soft retro curves and peg legs that are left exposed. Its heathered wool fabric comes in five colors that will punch up any small space.

With mid-century inspiration, the modern Venice sofa still manages to have a California vibe with its asymmetrical form, wooden structure, and cantilevered side table.

The Wedge is a modular option that consists of six mix-and-match components that allow you to reconfigure into any compensation. Besides its laid back and practical design, the sofa integrates wireless and electrical ports so you can conveniently keep your gear charged while working or lounging.

Point Dume is fairly minimal and is also a modular design with reversible cushions covered in a woven wool blend fabric and contrasting tufted buttons. It’s also outfitted with wireless and electrical ports for added convenience.

Boasting an exposed wooden frame, Trestles is a simple design with 100% cotton fabric that is slung over the sides and back. Its deep seat lets you get a good comfortable sit while still providing proper lumbar support.

For those needing extra sleeping quarters for guests, the Wade sofa is perfect for you. Instead of your traditional pull-out sofa bed, it easily converts to a queen sized bed with the back pillow acting as additional comfort in sleep mode.

If space isn’t necessarily an issue, Palisades is quite expansive with its long floating appearance and cantilevered platform making it optimal for lounging.

Big Sur looks comfortable and refined with its rustic leather upholstery and contrast double top stitching. It’s a classic that will always work in any kind of interior, gently aging over time.

PCH is a three-piece sectional with traditional versatility and an ottoman that can be moved around for added comfort.
