Marble and Metal Shelves Inspired by Doodling

When you think of doodling, marble probably doesn’t come to mind. But that’s the material that Italian designer Roberto Giacomucci focused on in his latest collection inspired by that very loose and freeform style of drawing. Doodling combines marble and perforated metal sheets to form a series of abstract shelves that resemble playful doodles.

The white Carrara marble, milled using a 5-axis CNC machine giving it the curved, doodle-like lines, is paired with copper and brass finished metal backs, resulting in the perfect contrast.
