Interlocking Leather Rugs by Elvis & Kresse for FLOR

FLOR has been the go-to destination for carpet tiles for what seems like eons now and while designing your own carpet is really fun, sometimes you want a straight-up area rug. As FLOR continues to expand their offerings, they’ve chosen to collaborate with incredible designers, like Elvis & Kresse, a duo based in Kent, England. The British design studio are known for their wicked ways of turning reclaimed materials into luxury goods. They collect the finest, vegetable-tanned leather off-cuts from a host of manufacturers and are using them to create the Elvis & Kresse for FLOR collection.

The collection includes a trio of rugs, Black, Caramel, and Brown, composed of smaller, interlocking pieces of leather that might have been rejected as scraps before. Elvis & Kresse look at those imperfections as added texture giving the rugs different variations from piece to piece.

They believe “leather is forever” and when you bring one of their rugs into your home, you’ll be able to cherish it for a long time. The leather will mature over time and gain a natural patina for an even richer look.
