Bonaldo’s Latest Designs Flip the Script

Italian furniture brand Bonaldo has released two new designs that totally flip the script by reinterpreting typical roles and creating an “upside-down world.” What does that mean exactly? Well, a table’s base is made of things you’d normally find on top of a table and the blanket on the bed suddenly becomes part of the bed’s frame. Take a look.

The Blanket Bed is appropriately named, but instead of lying underneath the blanket, Alessandro Busana designed the blanket to become the headboard. Inspired by the soft and cozy, protected feeling a blanket provides, this bed turns it from an accessory and into a plush, rolled-up extension of the frame for you to rest your head on.

While most dining tables are decked out with objects decorating the surface, the Cop Table, designed by Roberto Paoli, features those very objects as the base. The stylized “bottles” are designed in various sizes and shapes resulting in a visually dynamic table. The base is painted in one or multiple metal colors, while the tabletop is available in various wood finishes, glass, or ceramic.
