Archiving Water Ware Designed by Lotte de Raadt for Vij5

Vij5 has released the second product in their 10-week campaign of launching one new product every week (see week one here) and it’s by Eindhoven-based ceramics artist Lotte de Raadt. The Archiving Water Ware earthenware collection features a self-developed glazing technique that resembles water beading up on a flat surface.

The ceramic pieces, which include a carafe, cups, bowls, and a serving dish, are fairly simple in shape with each being finished with the raised texture where one would be inclined to touch it by hand. It adds a tactile surface that makes it easy to grip while feeling enjoyable to touch.

Archiving Water Ware aims to remind us of the beauty of water while being more conscious of one of our most important resources. The collection is available for purchase here.
