Vesta Fine Hardware: Small Luxury for the Kitchen

Charles Eames is equally as famous for his designs as for his pithy quotable sayings. One of his most well-known is “The details are not the details. They make the design.” And you can’t really get more detail oriented than those tiny knobs and handles that open drawers and cupboards. However, these are the finishing touches that can truly make your whole design scheme pop. Vesta Fine Hardware takes the principles of European craftsmanship and applies it to this tiniest home detail.

Vesta Divina Collection

Each piece is handcrafted with meticulously sourced materials. The seven different natural stones in the FireSky collection have all been carefully hand-selected and then set into knobs. The resulting pieces featuring Mojave Lapis, Iron Tiger-eye, Mojave Calcite or Carrara, feel more like precious jewels than functional kitchen hardware. Proof that you can indeed have both the functional and the beautiful. “Both Divina and Firesky touch on the latest hardware trends, but the look is reminiscent of something you’d find in an artist’s private studio,” explains Vesta Product Manager Christine Zimmer. “It’s a discovery, a find – the craftsmanship and design detail make these collections stand out.” It was through the serendipity of travel that inspired the design team to create key pieces. At a 150-year-old foundry in Europe, they found an antique fire iron. “With a little refinement, that shape became the perfect blend of traditional charm and modern glamour,” said Christine.

The Vesta Vibe Collection

All Vesta suites have subtle detailing that point to their fine craftsmanship: the Artworth collection’s hammered facets create an understated glimmer effect as each piece reflects light. The Cala collection has architectural undertones while the Roscato collection has more elaborate faceting with nods to historic design. There is truly a collection for every taste level and finish options for every decor scheme (so if you prefer oil rubbed bronze over satin brass, or vice versa, you have choices).
