Rag & Bone Star Wars: The Last Jedi Capsule Collection

It’s a collaboration at one time we might have only imagined happening in a galaxy far, far away – but here it is – the Rag & Bone Star Wars: The Last Jedi Capsule Collection. Founder and creative director Marcus Wainwright turned a life-long affinity for Star Wars lore into a surprisingly stylish capsule collection planned to coincide with the franchise’s 40th anniversary and release of The Last Jedi premiere on December 15th.

Expect both the men’s RB1 Force high-top sneakers and women’s Ellis Force boots to be highly coveted pieces from the collection.

Wainwright notes he’s “always been a massive ‘Star Wars’ fan personally, and I’m fairly close to the guys as Lucasfilm and Disney for various reasons”, which explains how this unexpected and delightfully strong in the Force fashion tie-in came to be, an aesthetic described as “modern Jedi”.

From Marcus Wainwright:

Our approach was really to re-imagine some of our favorite rag & bone pieces while taking influence from some of our most memorable moments of past and present Star Wars films.

The black and white detailing inside this jacket isn’t just a random pattern, but the iconic visual of lightspeed hyperspace travel made famous by Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon.

With 22 pieces, the limited edition collection runs the gamut of casual (t-shirts), to everyday wear (jackets and sweaters), to authoritarian chic (high heel boots). Princess Leia’s Hoth base quilted vest, Imperial stormtrooper gear, Obi-wan’s hood, and the rag-tag style of the Rebellion are all represented, complete with military detailing, subtle logo treatments, and even a hyperspace graphic lining that all tastefully honor the films while keeping the entire collection on the side of fashion rather than sheer fandom.

Interested Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance devotees, mark your calendars for December 2nd, the collection’s official launch date. A triplicate of events are planned for Los Angeles, New York, and London, with availability marked for select Rag & Bone retail locations and also online at rag-bone.com.
