Peca Designs UMO Fire Pit Made From Volcanic Rock, Marble and Metal

Guadalajara design studio Peca has been on our radar for several years with their modern furniture and objects, and now they’re taking their same design philosophies outside with their latest – the UMO Fire Pit. Merging volcanic rock, marble, and metal, they’ve created a contemporary, outdoor fire pit that’s perfect to relax around now that the temperatures are dropping.

UMO is handmade by artisans with a sculptural metal and marble base that supports the circular volcanic rock surface, which keeps the fire contained. And unlike fire pits that are holes dug up in the yard, UMO can be moved to a different location like a piece of furniture.

During warmer months, the flat surface can be used as a coffee table.

The marble from the structure continues to the surface and bisects the rock top for a decorative element.
