RHMB: Handcrafted Furniture Made From Fallen Trees Around London

London-born Robert Brain switched gears in 2017, going from creating custom interiors for London residences to launching a furniture company called RHMB. Brain spent his childhood climbing trees in East London, giving him an appreciation for the city and what it produces. Wanting to forge a connection between product and where it’s produced, he discontinued using imported woods and scoured the streets to find downed trees. Now, this lifetime Londoner handcrafts a collection of furniture that comes with a story behind it, as he knows which street or park that each tree once stood.

The collection includes a sideboard, a coffee table, and a side table, each with the beauty of the wood grain showing through. Brain partners the natural, unfinished woods with ebonized woods for a striking contrast that’s topped off with brass details.
