Caterpillar: A Flexible Memory Light by Fabien Roy

Architect Fabien Roy turned what looks like a hose on a vacuum into a a flexible light called the Caterpillar. The black ribbed tube is both the base and the structure letting you bend and twist it into various shapes, allowing the user to control the aesthetics of the lamp.

The Caterpillar is outfitted with an LED light that can be pointed in any direction holding its shape until you manipulate it again. The base is weighted so it stays in place while the extended tube is maneuvered around.
