GAN Partners with Neri&Hu on a New Sofa Typology

GAN recently enlisted the talents of design studio Neri&Hu, who designed a collection of seating modules, rugs, and dividers. The collection, called LAN, challenges the idea of what we normally think of in a sofa by breaking it down into modules that can fit together in various ways.

LAN also sets itself apart with an indigo color palette, which inspired its name as ‘lan’ means blue in Mandarin.

The rug is an important part of their LAN equation and the perfect spot to organize the pieces around. The seating modules rest close to the floor and can be changed up by adding different cushions and a tray to hold a drink.

Dividers are designed to visually separate a space or to hang out behind the seating modules as a backdrop.
