Owl Creek Residence Was Designed as a Place to Create Deeper Connections

Owl Creek is a residence designed by Skylab Architecture that’s located on a hillside in Snowmass, Colorado, with expansive views of the mountain. The idea behind the design was to create a place that could inspire deeper connections between the family, with friends, and the world around them. With a challenging piece of sloped land, construction wasn’t easy but they fixed the issue by directly anchoring the structures into the ground. The result is a stand-alone, 4,200-square-foot home built for two families to share with unbelievable views all-year round.

With surrounding views of Snowmass Mountain, both the interior and the exterior spaces are designed to enjoy the ever-changing rugged landscape.

The interior features a series of shared spaces that have a cozy, lodge-like feel designed to be open yet intimate. Large expanses of glass ensure that views were not compromised in any direction.
