A Duo of Commissioned Tables from De Intuïtiefabriek

To design studio De Intuïtiefabriek, creating all circles back to craftsmanship, the way materials are used, and the techniques brought forth in the process. Their visions are brought to life using slipcast porcelain, blown glass, bent wood, and more to make everything from furniture to tableware. The ultimate goal being perfectly crafted products that allow you to feel the love with which they were made.

Today we’re sharing two custom commissioned tables that De Intuïtiefabriek had the chance to take on in 2018. The first piece – Opaque – was designed for a newly renovated bathroom in private residence in Dieman. The room had a white palette that the studio decided to stick with while creating this multi-level piece using opaque glass, hi-macs, and coated steel. The finished dressing table has a soft appeal to it, as well as a small hanging magnifying mirror that adds even more function.

The second piece – Marianne – is a dressing table designed for a penthouse in Maastricht using copper coated steal, brown tinted mirror, warm white LED lights, brown tinted frosted glass, and pear wood. It was created with the existing aesthetic of the penthouse interior in mind, which was designed by interior design studio Nicemakers. (If you’re interested in seeing more, Netflix followed the design and construction of the penthouse for episode 5 of Amazing Interiors.)
