Vocon Completes a Redesign of its Cleveland Headquarters

Architecture and design firm Vocon became their own client when they recently redesigned their headquarters in the heart of Cleveland. The company has called the 15,000-square-foot, two-story building home since 2005, but have grown to employee over 180 people. The massive growth required a renovation to accommodate everyone within a flexible, more open workspace, so they took the opportunity to take their offices in a completely new direction.

The ground floor welcomes guests and employees with a reception area and lounge, while acting as the building’s activity center. The upstairs houses a large cafe and workspace section, along with conference rooms and various spots to work.

‘Crush it Every Day’ is displayed on a vertical wall of fresh, green moss for inspiration, reflecting on the company’s ethos.

The use of color and playful elements, like a collection of PEZ dispensers and a Brady Bunch-like display wall of employee photos, keep the atmosphere energetic and inspiring.

Natural light was an important element in the new design to encourage wellness.

There’s a state-of-the-art virtual reality room that allows the company to show clients visuals of their projects.
