A 19th-Century House is Converted to a Powerhouse for Ideas

Quinnipiac University’s Brand Strategy Group, responsible for the University’s marketing, communications, brand identity, and digital initiatives, now have a new, modern workspace with old world charm, thanks to Amenta Emma Architects.

Located in Connecticut, the traditional house with its small rooms and creaky floors was not initially their ideal environment but once Amenta Emma convinced the university of its potential as an open, flexible space. And boy, did they deliver!

Exterior

The interior is unrecognizable, with a contemporary layout and design that maximizes every inch of the space but feels open and airy for the 32-person team.

“The space has energized the team. It has allowed more collaboration, more fun and more communication,” says Keith Rhodes, Vice President of Brand Strategy & Integrated Communications. “People enjoy being here. It’s a community.”
