This Must Be What It’s Like to Live Inside a Rainbow

If you’re looking for a little bit of magic and an escape from daily life, you might want to visit the UK seaside town of Margate. Hiding away in the formerly sleepy town is a holiday retreat that might just be the closest thing to living inside of a rainbow. Owned by Polly Donger and Jim Biddulph, Big Bit pays homage to the locale’s recent renaissance which has made it an intriguing destination to visit. The colorful, happy abode is like an adult playground that’s become an offshoot of the owners’ Old Town shop, Little Bit, which sells a curated mix of goods from independent makers.

Big Bit is a two-bedroom apartment filled with a myriad of color, with the exception being the black and white polka dotted kitchen. Playful prints are combined with solid colors for an immersive experience that’s bound to bring visitors nothing but joy. Vintage toys can be spotted throughout the space adding to the playful vibe.

Hidden under the stairs is a red tunnel that leads to the first guest room – an all-white, fluffy, cloud-like space that will definitely bring sweet dreams.

Directly above is the other bedroom filled with blue walls, a rainbow ceiling, and cloud-shaped bedside lamps.

Then there’s the all yellow bathroom with a luxury walk-in shower. There’s even yellow toilet paper!
