ADDRESS Assembly Returns to Vancouver to Showcase North American Talents

Now in its sixth year, ADDRESS Assembly returns to Vancouver to showcase a new crop of North American talent. Founded by furniture designer Kate Duncan and co-curated by Principal at Mak Interiors Amber Kingsnorth, the unique show turns away from traditional trade show booth formats and instead, showcases its exhibitors through elaborated stage settings that mimic environments the furniture and objects would actually live in. This year’s show opens its doors from September 25-29, 2019 at Eastside Studios.

Regarding the unconventional format of the show, Duncan shares:

The aim of this new approach is to create a more immersive experience to engage, inform and inspire spectators.

The level of talent in both production complexity and aesthetics always blows my mind. It’s so incredible to see the final product in real life on our show floor. To meet the makers and discuss their pieces makes it a truly special event. This is such an amazing group of people.

ADDRESS Assembly will feature over 40 designers and makers specializing in various disciplines including furniture, lighting, and accessories. Kate herself will be debuting her latest collection of contemporary furniture and homewares inspired by mid-century modern design and Japanese aesthetics.
