Brass Is at Its Best in Bagatto + Bicaudata

Ilaria Bianchi recently released two new pieces – Bagatto and Bicaudata – that were designed for A Rebours, Lafayette Anticipations’s store (the Art Fondation of Galeries Lafayette). Meet both gorgeous pieces below!

Bagatto is a coffee table featuring the four alchemic elements in brass, representing the four suits and four directions that convert energy into matter. The four shapes, originally drawn from the primordial magic of mathematics, hold up a tempered glass top.

Bicaudata is a fresh shape with a mirrored brass profile, created by a series of precise mathematical cuts. The fork-tailed shape of the vase minimizes the amount of materials used and allows for a flower to be placed in its center.
