Erik Jørgensen x Snøhetta Begin Release of Their Casework Collection

For their second collaboration, Erik Jørgensen and SNØHETTA created furniture rather than an art installation, something that can be used in homes, offices, etc while also being appreciated. With their focus on sustainability, minimalism, and customization, the pieces for the ERIK JØRGENSEN X SNØHETTA collection, named Casework, were born. The first piece, a large sofa, debuted at the Stockholm Furniture and Light Fair, with the rest of the series to follow suit later in 2020.

The real beauty of Casework’s furniture – aside from the obvious Scandinavian design elements – is the ability to tailor the pieces to their purpose as well as their surroundings. The sofa features hard lines with a soft finish and plush cushions atop a wood frame, and is manufactured in both the studio and the Erik Jørgensen manufactory in a small Danish town – Svendborg. Solid craftsmanship and honest materials are sure to guarantee a long life to come.

Production is made easier through the prefabrication of the sofa’s frame, while any customized panels can be quickly mounted. Adjustable legs aid in righting uneven floors. It’s then finished off with any one of a variety of fabric and material finishes, including wool and natural tan leather. We are certainly looking forward to the release of the rest of the ERIK JØRGENSEN X SNØHETTA collection.
