The Slim Collection Is Inspired by Mid-Century Californian Modernism

Slim is a minimalist lighting collection designed by Australia-based studio Articolo. The collection was heavily inspired by mid-century Californian modernism and the sophisticated high-life depicted in Slim Aaron’s famed Palm Springs photography.

Consisting of a wall sconce or pendant variation, the collection evokes the effortless glamour and allure of Slim’s reinterpretation of Californian modernism in architectural form and refined simplicity. When paired back-to-back, the arches transform into a double pendant with inlaid brass and mid bronze.

An elongated arch of mouth-blown glass houses the light source while the structure is framed by hand-finished metalwork by Articolo artisans. Nostalgic white and grey glass shades cast soft light through a dappled shadow.
